As well as freelance, I have worked for museums and galleries in a variety of settings. I am membership secretary for the Museums and Galleries History Group (www.mghg.org)

Faces of Oxfordshire – As Project Co-ordinator with Oxfordshire County Council I successfully applied for £75,000 from Arts Council England for a programme of socially inclusive visual arts projects running through 2007. This required working effectively with Oxford Inspires, Modern Art Oxford, OVADA, Kids @ Art, OFVM – Centre for Film and Digital Media, Fusion – Oxford's Community Arts Agency, and Oxford University Museums and Collections.

 

South Hill Park Arts Centre – As Head of Visual Arts I was responsible for managing a team of 12 staff, including resident artists, education staff, and the overall exhibition programme for 7 spaces. The artists I have worked with include:

Museum of the History of Science, Oxford – As the first Collections Manager at this institution, I cared for the wellbeing of this collection and oversaw their documentation including loans and transportation. I also worked on delivering the exhibition programme, working with students and volunteer. I also advised artists who were interested in working with the collections.

 

The Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock – I was the Assistant Curator at this museum working on a Lottery funded refurbishment, and also worked on a wide variety of temporary exhibitions.

 

Compton Verney, Warwickshire – As a short-term contract, I worked on the labelling and documentation of the permanent collections prior to the opening of this museum.
